The 4th ICRMCE and FIB Indonesia Mini Simposium on Concrete Structures; Past Achievement, Current Issues and Future Development

A mini symposium will be convened by FIB-Indonesia, a group of concrete scientists and engineers in Indonesia, in conjunction with the 4th International Conference on Rehabilitant and Maintenance in Civil Engineering held by collaboration of several university in Indonesia and worldwide. The theme of the mini symposium will be on Concrete Structures; Past Achievement, Current Issues and Future Development. It addresses the legacy, the state of the arts and practices of concrete structures as well as the challenge concrete industry is facing in the future.

Marking the launch of FIB-Indonesia in 2018, Hugo Corres Peiretti (fib President and FHECOR President) and David Fernandez-Ordonez (fib secretary general) will address their keynote speech. Convener of Commission 7 Sustainability, Petr Hajek (Czech Technical University) will deliver his perspective on the concrete sustainability. the Experts from Indonesia and fib-Indonesia will also present their works discuss their viewpoint on concrete structures. The participant will benefit from this symposium by taking deeper insight of The fib Model Code for Concrete Structures 2020 as the organizing committee is attempting to present experts in the field. This model codes 2020 which address new and existing concrete structures is being written with intention to provide guidance for future codes. The newest scientific findings and the latest state of the art are used to produce recommendations of structural concrete. New expertise and ideas implemented in the model codes may also be discussed in the symposium.

The mini symposium is open to the conference participant and invited parties. Limited number of general public interested in the topic may attend the symposium by applying to the conference organizing committee.
